Bracelet made from PRECIOSA Pip™ and PRECIOSA Twin™

Preciosa Ornela presents the PRECIOSA Pip™ bead. It excellently supplements the PRECIOSA Twin™ two-hole beads and seed beads. It goes well with PRECIOSA Solo™ and PRECIOSA Twin™ and its dimensions of 5 x 7 mm also comply with the current trend for mini-beads. The axially symmetric flattened shape of the small core enables the realisation of vacuum coatings on both sides of the bead with the resulting effect of an overall decoration. By connecting eight beads with a two-hole Twin, you can create interesting flowers which can then be used according to the following tutorial. Other materials & tools

A 0.20 mm nylon line, a thin stringing needle, scissors, flat nose pliers, 6 mm rings (2x), a 4 mm ring (1x), a small carabiner, a metal end piece, a satin cord 1.5 mm (ca 50 cm)

Procedure

Step 1

String 8x T onto the needle and line and tie them in a circle with a double knot. Thread the needle and line through the second hole of the nearest T in the basic circle (fig. 1a and 1b).

Step 2

Add 1x P between each T in this row. Add a total of 8x P. Sew in the line, thread it through the holes of several of the nearest beads one more time and cut it off (fig. no. 2). Create a total of 5 flowers.

Step 3

Fold the satin cord in half and tie a knot about 1 cm from the fold and attach the carabiner to the loop using two rings (fig. no. 3a and 3b).

Step 4

Insert the first flower between the satin loops and thread the ends of the cord through the centre of the flower in the opposite direction. 
Then connect the satin cords by means of another knot behind the flower (fig. no. 4a and 4b). Repeat this procedure 4 more times (fig. no. 4c). Cut off both cords behind the last connecting knot leaving 1 cm in reserve, lightly melt the ends so that they do not fray and close them in the metal end piece with a ring threaded through it (fig. no. 4d).
