The bygone eras in Bohemia were not always amicably inclined towards the production of beautiful things, such as luxury domestic and decorative glass. The sad fate of a number of valuable and unique artistic pieces and crafted products or even sketched designs, samples, catalogues, and other precious documents in the period of complicated transformations in society is a reminder to us never to allow the same mistakes to happen again. That is why the Jablonex Group a.s. is attempting to promote various exhibition and publication projects alongside the commercial use of historical production, which helps protect and make accessible to the public the glass memory of the Northern Bohemian region.
The "Since 1847", which accompanies the "Desná" brand, is in honour of tradition and is an emphasis of the fact that the Jablonex Group a.s. continues in the production of artistic glass ware, whose value has not diminished even with the passing of time.
